Thais Mei
Founder & CEO · CarreiraUSA
Thais Mei is the founder and CEO of Carreira U.S.A, the first career consultancy focused exclusively on Brazilians in the American corporate market.
A career strategist with hands-on experience on both sides of the US hiring process — as a candidate and as part of an HR team — Thais built her own method that has already placed more than 1,500 Brazilian professionals in the US corporate world.
She arrived in the United States in 2015 as an au pair. After more than 100 rejections, she landed her first corporate role as an Executive Assistant at Boston Children's Hospital. The second was at Veolia, where she sat inside the HR team and learned exactly where Brazilians lose jobs without knowing why.
In November 2020, she founded Carreira U.S.A. Today, with more than 1,500 professionals placed and $20M+ in negotiated salaries, CarreiraUSA is the trusted name for Brazilian professionals ready to break into the US corporate market.
