In 2015, Thais came to the United States to study and soon made it her home.
When she decided to stay, other immigrants convinced her that the American job market had no place for her, so she started working as a nanny (initially through the au pair program).
Impressed by Thais's dedication, her employers encouraged her to seek a job in her field.
As she began her journey towards her dream career, she discovered that the American job market has its own unique processes and expectations.
She could have given up after more than 100 rejections in interviews and job applications, but instead, she decided to figure out what was going wrong.
In doing so, she uncovered the specific requirements and preferences U.S. companies have when hiring, and eventually landed a well-paying job, proving that talent can thrive in any market.
Today, 8 years later, she runs CAREER U.S.A. and has helped over 1,100 people secure jobs across the United States, sharing what she's learned.
Her mission is to ensure that every work-authorized individual struggling to find employment can easily navigate the specific demands of the U.S. job market.
Her process addresses the unique challenges of the American hiring system, overcoming language barriers (when it applies), bridging gaps in professional experience, and even helping with cultural adjustment, making job approval much more attainable.
